Using Event Tickets for RSVPs (Free Version)
The free Event Tickets plugin integrates with The Events Calendar to allow you to add free RSVP functionality to your events. This lets visitors indicate if they will attend and provides you with an attendee list in the WordPress dashboard.Enabling RSVPs on an Event
- Make sure the Event Tickets plugin is installed and activated.
- Go to Events > All Events and either edit an existing event or click Add New.
- Scroll down to the Tickets section below the event description.
- Click + New RSVP.
- Fill in the RSVP details:
- RSVP Name – A title for your RSVP (e.g., “Reserve Your Spot”).
- Capacity – Set the maximum number of attendees (or leave blank for unlimited).
- Start/End Sale Dates – Choose when RSVPs open and close.
- Click Save RSVP when finished.
Viewing and Managing RSVP Responses
- Go to Events > RSVPs in the WordPress dashboard.
- Here you can view a list of attendees, their RSVP status, and email addresses.
- You can also manually add or remove attendees if needed.
How RSVPs Appear on the Event Page
- A simple RSVP form will appear below the event details.
- Visitors enter their name and email to reserve their spot.
- Once capacity is reached, the RSVP option will automatically close.
Pro Tip: Use RSVPs for free events to track attendance and collect participant info without requiring paid ticketing.
