Smart Slider is used to create and manage sliders on your website. You can edit existing sliders, add new ones, and embed them into pages or Beaver Builder modules. In some cases, we use the Pro version to access dynamic content features, such as pulling in Testimonials or Stories from custom post types.

Editing an Existing Slider

  1. In the WordPress Dashboard, go to Smart Slider.
  2. Click the title of the slider you want to edit.
  3. Use the visual editor to:
    • Rearrange slides by dragging them into the desired order.
    • Edit slide content by clicking directly on text, images, or buttons.
    • Adjust animation and transition settings in the right-hand panel.
  4. Click Save when you’re done.

Embedding a Slider

  1. After saving, copy the shortcode displayed for your slider.
  2. Paste this shortcode into:
    • A WordPress page or post editor, or
    • A Beaver Builder HTML or Text module.

Dynamic Features (Pro Version)

On some websites, we use the Smart Slider Pro version to enable Dynamic Content. This feature can automatically pull in items from custom post types, such as:
  • Testimonials
  • Stories
  • News posts
Pro Tip: Keep images optimized and consistent in size for the best performance and visual appearance. Large, unoptimized images can slow down your site and affect mobile performance.
