Your site uses the Yoast SEO plugin to manage search engine optimization. If you or we optimized your pages before or after website launch, you will find these meta desciptions in the SEO tab in the Planning Sheet (linked from the pink button above). You can edit or add custom SEO meta descriptions to improve how your pages appear in search results.

Viewing Existing Meta Descriptions

  1. In the WordPress Dashboard, go to Pages > All Pages.
  2. Look for the Meta Descriptions column to see which pages have custom descriptions set.
  3. If you don’t see this column, click Screen Options in the top right corner and check the box for Meta Descriptions.

Editing or Adding a Meta Description

  1. Go to Pages > All Pages and click on the page you want to edit.
  2. Scroll down to the Yoast SEO panel below the content editor.
  3. In the SEO Title field, you can adjust the page title for search results if needed.
  4. In the Meta Description field, enter a short, clear summary of the page content. Aim for 150–155 characters.
  5. Yoast will display a colored bar indicating the length and quality of your meta description.
  6. Click Update to save your changes.
Pro Tip: Write meta descriptions that are concise, accurate, and action-oriented. Use natural language and include your focus keyword where possible to improve click-through rates.
